These Australian parrots display beautiful colors, curiosity as well as an extensive social live. They get used to their keeper quickly and are not shy at all.
Their diet can be a bit tricky, as they feed on liquid nectar. Preparing their food takes some time: fruits need to be blended into a "soup", supplemented with vitamins and dextrose…every day fresh.
With the right care breeding is easy. We tried both methods, natural breeding and hand raised. The latter means a lot of work, but the reward are tame birds which will follow the keeper everywhere.
